- What is the difference between silver brazing and laser welding?
Generally a silver brazing blade can only be used for wet cutting because of the manufacturing process and bond. The brazing process needs a silver-based brazing film to connect the segment and the steel core. The high temperature under cutting will eventually cause the silver solder to melt, and the diamond segments may fall off the blade and fly out and may hurt the operator. So it is necessary to use water to cool the blade while cutting and protecting the segment.
Laser welding is a type of fusion welding, this process causes the junction of the diamond segment and the steel core to be melted and then form a metallurgical connection. There is a transition layer to connect the working layer (with diamond) of the segment and steel core. This connection is very strong and will not melt under high temperature. Therefore, laser welding can use for wet or dry cutting. - How to select a diamond blade for cutting stone?
The main specifications that determine the property of a diamond blade include: the diamond grit’s size, hardness and concentration, and the bond’s hardness and abrasiveness. Different applications require different diamond blades:
1. For stones with high hardness and density, we suggest using diamonds of a smaller grit size and greater hardness. The diamond concentration should also be lower. The bond should be a bit softer in order to provide a high efficiency cutting while preventing chipping.
2. For less hard stones, the diamonds’ grit size can be larger, and a medium hardness diamond can be used, with a bit higher concentration. This bond should have a better abrasiveness. This type of bond will provide good cutting efficiency and prolong the cutting life.
3. For highly abrasive stone, the diamonds used to be harder, larger, and of high concentration. The bond should be harder and have good abrasiveness. - What is your delivery time?
